Value

Do the Math: Compare the Cost Per Serving to other protein powders and you'll realize the Gold Standard difference. It's easy to calculate. Just take the price of your protein product and divide it by the number of servings in the tub. That's how much protein you're getting for your dollar. Gold Standard 100% Whey provides ON's legendary quality with exceptional Cost Per Serving value.

Quality

Whey protein is popular with active adults because it contains all the necessary nutrients to promote muscle growth and also helps maintain the muscle you already have. Whey protein isolates are the purest form of whey and the primary ingredient in Gold Standard 100% Whey. Each serving provides 24 grams of whey protein with 1.5g fat, 55mg of cholesterol, minimal lactose and other stuff you can do without. There's no doubt this is the standard all other proteins are measured against.

In terms of quality of protein, it is very high quality for the price. I would consider it the 2nd highest quality of any protein I have tried from this website. It mixes well with water, and well enough with milk. Taste is good for Mocha Cap, just a bit weak. Strawberry tastes very artificial but that is typical for fruity protein.

I'm 16 years old, so when I buy supplements, I buy with the hope that it doesn't taste like ***, because its good money that I'm spending. Unfortunately sometimes not my own, but my parents hard earned money. I've gone to GNC and tried Muscletech - absolute **** and gave me indigestion in addition to being bad at masking the taste of whey. Then tried GNC pro - Better, no indigestion but taste got old real fast for their salted caramel and their version of milk chocolate didnt actually blend that well no matter how long you shook it. While the taste of whey was hidden, I now was stuck with what I like to call post workout drink burps. They suck, taste like whey and are absolutely nauseating. Now Optimum nutrition, they are the **** The extreme milk chocolate tastes just like hot chocolate, except not hot since I take it with fridge cold milk. No whey flavored burps either. Mocha is just as good, toned down in the sweetness but tastes just like if it were from star bucks. Finally, I'm glad to have found a good brand for whey protein because as a 16 year old. Its pretty ******* hard to eat 200 grams of protein as opposed to drinking 82grams of whey mix paired with another 17 from the milk for a total of 99. Which means, I can spend most of my meals taking in the carbs and fiber that I need to balance everything out and not get bored of eating chicken breast all the time. Now heres the downside, and yes this can be remedied but I am not in a position for this. I burn through these really fast. I take two 3 scoop shakes a day with 18 ounces of milk. Its really heavy in calories. 329 from the milk alone and another 360 from the powder. Give or take from the uneveness each scoop can be. (I don't level them and the next one may be a heaping scoop compared the the last.) Thats 1400 calories total from two shakes a day. When I'm eating on a caloric deficit of 2400, fitting in three whole meals for under 1000 that are at least sating from meal to meal as well as hitting macros is the biggest pain. But I always find a, dare I say it, whey around it.

Strawberry Banana is excellent if you are going to be combining it with milk (morning shakes are A+ with milk) otherwise I recommend you the cookies and cream that blends very well with water and doesn't leave any foam + the taste is really good.

Directions For Gold Standard 100% Whey:

SPOON STIRRED: Gold Standard 100% Whey™ is INSTANTIZED. That means if you forgot your shaker cup or don’t have time to get out the blender, you can just add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey™ to a glass filled with 6-8 oz of water or your favorite beverage. Then mix it up with a spoon. Stir for about 20 seconds or until powder is completely dissolved.
TIP: Adjust the intensity of your Gold Standard 100% Whey™ by varying the amount of liquid that you use to prepare it. For a bolder flavor with slightly more body and sweetness, mix each scoop with 4-6 oz of water, milk, or your favorite beverage. For a milder tasting, less sweet shake, use 8-10 oz of liquid per scoop.

SHAKER: Bringing a shaker cup with you to the gym is the best way to get a powerful dose of protein immediately after your workout. Just pour in 6-8 oz of your preferred beverage and then add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey™ to your shaker cup. Cover and shake for 25-30 seconds.

BLENDER: Add one rounded scoop of Gold Standard 100% Whey™ to a blender filled with 6-8 oz of water, nonfat milk, or your favorite beverage. Blend for 20-30 seconds. Then add 1 or 2 ice cubes and blend for an additional 30 seconds.
SHAKE UP YOUR SHAKE: By adding fresh or frozen fruits, peanut butter, flaxseed oil, coconut and other high-energy ingredients, you can transform your shake into a delicious high-protein meal.
STACK YOUR SHAKE: You can make Gold Standard 100% Whey™ an even more powerful recovery product by adding supplements like creatine, glutamine, BCAA, and concentrated carbohydrate powders.

THINK OUTSIDE THE GLASS: Gold Standard 100% Whey™ can be used for more than just protein shakes. Try mixing a scoop into oatmeal, yogurt, or the milk that you pour over your morning breakfast cereal. Better yet, boost the protein content of muffins, cookies, brownies, etc. by adding a scoop or two to your baked goods recipes.

SUGGESTED USE: Consume approximately 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day through a combination of high protein foods and protein supplements. For even better results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day.

Warnings: This product contains whey derived from dairy and lecithin (to improve mixability) derived from soybeans. For use as a dietary supplement only. Do not use for weight reduction.
