Whey Protein Isolate For Superior Gains

With the vast amount of protein supplements on the market, it’s hard to know which ones are of the best quality and worth your hard-earned cash. Unfortunately, many protein supplements are blended with inferior sources of protein, such as low quality whey protein concentrate, to increase total protein while also cheating you out of maximum gains. Ideally, for whey protein to help promote muscle growth and strength, it should be digested to the peptide level (di- and tri-peptides) within 90 minutes to be used by the body.*

Inferior sources of protein, gram for gram, are as not as pure as whey isolates. Whey protein isolate not only serves up more quality protein per scoop to ignite muscle protein synthesis, it’s also lower in unwanted lactose, fat, and carbohydrates than cheaper protein sources. It’s typically more expensive to manufacture, due to the advanced methods of processing it undergoes.

Whey protein isolate is commonly processed two ways: ion exchange or micro/ultrafiltration. To the unknowing buyer, you may think you’re getting a high-quality whey protein but these two methods are not equal. The ion exchange process, used by many leading brands, selectively depletes several critical tiny molecules known as subfractions, which ultimately results in the denaturing (damaging) of the protein.

The whey protein in MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate has been filtered using the most advanced cross flow micro- and ultrafiltration technology to minimize fat, cholesterol, lactose and other impurities, for an ultrapure, non-denatured isolate protein. The result is a superior quality, rapid absorbing whey isolate that yields the perfect amino acid profile to fuel your body’s anabolic machinery.*

Why Choose Micropure Whey Protein Isolate?

Each scoop of MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate contains 25 grams of the highest quality and most bioavailable protein available. This ultra-premium whey protein isolate formula has an advanced, full-spectrum amino acid profile that includes EAAs, BCAAs, CAAs and NAAs, to support dramatic increases in protein synthesis for maximum muscle gains.* Each scoop of MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate delivers:

Essential Amino Acids (EAAs)
Total Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAAs)
Conditionally Essential Amino Acids (CAAs)
Non-Essentital Amino Acids (NAAs)

The Prohydrolase® Advantage

Kaged Muscle researchers invested countless hours working to create a protein formula more powerful than regular whey protein isolate. Infused with ProHydrolase® technology, the advanced MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate formula enhances protein absorption.

Each serving is supercharged with a precise 250 milligrams of ProHydrolase, an innovative patented digestive (proteolytic) enzyme blend clinically shown to be more effective for maximizing protein digestion than whey protein on its own. Using this exclusive blend of enzymes the whey protein is rapidly hydrolyzed (broken down) in real-time, upon consumption, rather than during the manufacturing process using harsh chemicals. The result is a superior whey protein isolate formula, scientifically honed to help maximize digestion and absorption of its powerful muscle-building amino acids.*

Whey protein is a source of all nine essential amino acids.[1] To effectively promote muscle growth and strength, the protein must first be broken down into smaller, more usable protein fractions (i.e., di- and tri-peptides)[2] rapidly after consumption.[3] When whey protein is not broken down into its smallest fractions (common with cheaper, inferior sources of protein such as whey protein concentrate), the larger peptides are not properly absorbed, causing gastrointestinal discomfort such as bloating, gas, cramping. ProHydrolase is scientifically proven to maximize the benefits of whey protein, promoting better digestion, and absorption.

ProHydrolase rapidly breaks down the whey protein isolate into highly bioavailable micro fractions, allowing your body more easily absorb the protein and take full advantage of the available essential amino acids for building muscle and maximizing recovery. With more amino acids hitting your bloodstream, the greater the protein synthesis response to accelerate your gains.*

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Whey Protein Concentrate and Whey Protein Isolate?

Whey protein concentrate has only 80% protein and a higher amount of impurities, such as lactose and ash, which can cause bloating and gas. If you are lactose-intolerant, you’ll want to steer clear of products that use whey protein concentrate. Whey protein isolate, on the other hand, has 90% protein. Whey protein isolate goes through an advanced filtration process to reduce the amount of lactose, fat, and carbohydrates, ultimately yielding a purer, cleaner form of protein.

How does MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate compare to Hydrolyzed Whey Protein?

The difference between traditional forms of hydrolyzed whey protein and MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate is that our protein is hydrolyzed in real-time, at the time of consumption, thanks to the innovative ProHydrolase Enzyme Technology. Proteins hydrolyzed during the manufacturing process are chemically treated to breakdown the protein into its smaller amino acid components, and the resulting material is then dried and packaged for your consumption.

Because MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate is rapidly hydrolyzed in real-time, we recommend you consume it within 15-20 minutes of mixing, or the product will start to taste bitter like hydrolyzed whey protein.

What should I look for on the label to identify a quality whey protein isolate?

Many brands use fancy buzzwords on their labels to disguise low-quality protein sources contained within their products. If you want a high-quality whey protein powder, make sure whey protein isolate is the only source of protein listed in the ingredients. If the first or second ingredient is whey protein concentrate, then it’s time for a new protein powder.

Can I use MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate if I am lactose intolerant?

A typical serving of MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate has less than 0.1 grams of lactose. The National Institute of Health’s position is that most individuals with lactose intolerance can safely consume this trace amount of lactose with no discomfort. But you should consult with your healthcare provider before consuming MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate if you are lactose intolerant or sensitive to any of its ingredients.

Why does MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate have sunflower lecithin?

The trace amount of sunflower lecithin found in MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate is used to help the protein dissolve more readily when mixed with liquid.

What is the difference between Re-Kaged and MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate?

Re-Kaged is a post-workout recovery protein that offers 28 grams of ultra-premium whey protein isolate per serving, along with an additional 3 grams of glutamine, 1.5 grams of the BetaPower (Natural Betaine) and 1.5 grams of the Creatine HCI, to support your recovery needs.* The MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate offers 25 grams of ultra-premium whey protein isolate per serving and can be taken any time of the day.

Ultra-Clean Formula

Like all Kaged Muscle products, MICROPURE Whey Protein Isolate has been scientifically formulated with only clean MICROPURE® ingredients, meaning it has been rigorously third-party tested and verified for purity, potency and overall composition. Makes sense why they discontinued the chocolate for sale, in 15 years of having protein never once have I had a chocolate protein that not only tasted, but absolutely smelt as bad as this one did. Complete waste, had higher expectations from this brand smh

I just ordered this to try and honestly I was very surprised by the taste as it actually tasted good. I wouldn't say it tastes like S'mores but you can definitely taste some cinnamon in it. So it tastes more like cinnamon toast crunch in my opinion. I've also been please with my overall muscle recovery since switching to this. I will be continuing to use this.

KM changed the flavor profile on this and many other products in their line. This is a more powdery texture than previous, with no different mixing results. Still good, but why change?

I am echoing what a previous reviewer mentioned; they updated their chocolate flavor ingredients and it is not nearly as tasty as it previously was. I noticed my October order smelled different as soon as I opened the tub. After tasting it, I knew something had changed. I compared the old tub to my new one and the ingredients and nutrition facts changed. I chatted the KM customer service team and they confirmed that updates were made. Maybe some people will like it, but it used to taste and smell like a batch of chocolate brownies, and sadly now it doesn't resemble chocolate to me at all. Hoping KM updates it back to the OG!

The taste for the vanilla is awesome and blends well. Definitely helps as I’ve been training for a few months and taking it consistently and see gain in muscle. It helps also with being a meal replacement which is another bonus and probably the cleanest product or protein out there compared to all the other name brands.

I sincerely believe this is the best protein on the market. I finally made the switch and noticed my recovery dramatically increase. This leads me to believe ingredient quality is the #1 thing to consider when using supplements. This also led to me only use this brand for all my supplements. I felt it first hand.

I got the cinnamon roll flavor and its disgusting. Probably the worst tasting isolate I've ever had, I got it on sale but would never buy again. For these overpriced products, I expect at least the flavor to be good. Its a weird consistency and taste

I'll give it an overall 2 because the ingredients are good, and the flavor a 2 because it is true that, in my life, my tongue has been subjected to worse flavors than this. That said, there haven't been many. I'm shocked at how terrible the taste is; by far the worst of the 40-50 protein powders I've used. It's surprising that with cane sugar rather than artificial sweeteners, the flavor feels artificially sweet like there's not much else to it. It's also shockingly clumpy for micronized isolate... no shaking will fully blend it. Maybe that's why I see it's been discontinued in the month since I purchased. Maybe the other flavors are better, but make sure not to get this one!

I love Kaged Muscle products, been a loyal supporter since the start. I noticed with my last order (August 2020) that the ingredients have changed and there is a distinct chemical taste to it which the old product did not. The new flavor now includes a Gum Blend (Guar Gum, Gum Acacia, Xanthan Gum) not present on old flavor. Sunflower Lecithin has been removed from new product and Stevia Leaf extract has been replaced with Steviol Glycosides. I'm not sure which of these altered the flavor but it's a step backward in my opinion. This was my go to whey protein. I have 4 more tubs so maybe my taste buds will adapt, otherwise I'll be buying another brand. Sorry.

WARNING! This product now comes with a SOY & WHEAT warning on the back label. Spoke with a Kaged rep, and it's not a misprint. There is a risk of cross-contamination due to a change in the manufacturing of one ingredient. Too bad because this was my fave protein.
